I moved here a month ago...

"...I’m doing my masters in Interior Design. I’m very excited about that. I had an interesting year before that; I was living in Italy and I moved there for my ex-boyfriend but we broke up and it was such a huge relief! So I’m very excited to be here now".

I came to London to look after two babies...

"...and it’s the best thing that could possibly happen in my life. His name is Harrison and he’s my grandson. I came in from Cape Town. I look after him and his sister who’s 5 years old".

My mum passed away on the 1st of October last year...

"...She lived in Jamaica but she came here for six months and she passed away. She knew that she was dying ‘cause she had cancer but she didn’t tell us anything. She suffered a lot; she had five strokes and yeah…. But you know, God is good. I was so angry with God but then He made me realize that she’s in a better place. What am I worried for? No more pain, no more suffering. And it took me a while to understand it...

"My son is in prison for defending himself. He was at college for two and a half years and then some gang boys attacked him. He was defending himself, he did damage one of them a bit but that was because of all the anger that was in him. He goes, ‘Mum, I’ve been doing very well at college and these guys just came and attacked me for no reason’. They gave him four years but he’s only gonna do two. Then again, I couldn’t understand it but God made me understand that He’s taking him away for a reason".
